Local Storage
Your capture history and settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
API Security
All communication with our servers and OpenAI uses HTTPS encryption. We don't store your captured text on our servers - it's sent directly to OpenAI and the response is returned to you.
Data Retention
We retain anonymized usage metrics for up to 90 days. Your actual captured text and AI responses are only stored locally on your device.
Third-Party Services
OpenAI
We use OpenAI's GPT-3.5 Turbo API to process your captured text and generate responses. When you capture text:
- • The text is sent to OpenAI's servers
- • OpenAI processes it according to their privacy policy
- • OpenAI does not use API data to train their models
- • We don't send any personal identifiers to OpenAI
Stripe (Pro/Power Users)
For paid subscriptions, we use Stripe to process payments. Stripe handles all payment information securely. We never see or store your credit card details.
Your Rights & Choices

Export your capture history anytime using the export feature in the extension.
Delete Your Data
Clear your history anytime from the extension settings. Uninstalling the extension removes all local data.
Opt Out
Simply don't capture text you don't want processed. The extension only acts on your explicit command.
